Design a Nature-based Solution for your Local Community

Our 2025 Design Challenge is open to all schools – students aged 11-18 years

PRIZE: An EXTRAORDINARY TRIP TO DUBAI for our BEST OF THE BEST winning team

We challenge you to imagine, innovate, restore, regenerate.

The world needs your creativity and passion! We’re asking you to design a solution that not only solves a problem but also helps nature thrive.

Look around your village, town or city.

What local issue needs fixing?

Your challenge is to find a way to solve it using ideas from nature.

Your solution doesn’t have to be big – small, smart ideas can make a huge impact!

This is your chance to think outside the box, explore your surroundings, and discover how nature can help solve everyday challenges.

Are you ready to take on the challenge?

Why nature? The natural world can inspire smarter, sustainable solutions

Nature is full of brilliant ideas to solve the problems we face.

Restorative solutions help repair damage to the environment, from degraded land to polluted air and water. Regenerative approaches go even further, creating systems that restore and renew the natural world.

By designing solutions inspired by nature, you’ll show how even the smallest change can have a big impact on both people and the planet.

Start by thinking about your local community…

Look for challenges in your local area

Is there a problem affecting your school, street or local park?

Nature can offer simple, effective solutions

How could the natural world help solve the problem in your local area?

Small actions can lead to big changes

How could your idea inspire others or lead to further improvements?
