COYO Esteem Pavilion Design Challenge 2020

Can you create a greener future?

Together with Heriot Watt University and the fabulous TEAM ESTEEM, we are inviting budding design, engineering and construction professionals to design the ESTEEM PAVILION.

This is a unique opportunity, open to all primary schools and secondary schools. Working as a digital team, your students can use their creativity and ingenuity to collaborate online and create this fantastic centre…in Dubai!

They’ll need to use research skills to discover how a desert climate will affect their decisions and how they might influence whole communities to ‘think green’ in their everyday lives.

We’ll be with you and your students every step of the way… with support from architecture, engineering and construction professionals who will happily provide some hints and tips via social media and webinars.

Kindly supported by Topcon, Bentley, Heriot Watt University and Emirates GBC

The Challenge

As part of the Solar Decathlon Middle East 2020 competition, Team Esteem, an awesome group of Heriot Watt University students, have designed a modern, hi-tech house powered only by solar energy to create an affordable, energy-efficient home.

The house is SO good, it’s made the Solar Decathlon finals in Dubai, where it will be constructed and exhibited to thousands of people. It really is a home of the future.

So, Team Esteem asked us to challenge you to design the Esteem Pavilion – an inclusive learning space where people who buy an Esteem home can also learn how to live a greener life…
